Preusser Jewelers is the oldest continuously run jewelry store in Michigan, and the longest continuously run business of any kind in Kent County.
In 1850, the Grand Rapids area was little more than a Native American trading post but was growing quickly. A young watchmaker from the Detroit area named William Preusser saw the area was rich with opportunities. His vision led to the founding of Preusser Jewelers, offering quality fine jewelry to the thriving community.
